Back in 2015, we couldn’t believe that there wasn’t an Oktoberfest in Los Angeles! And what better backdrop for a fun event than in the middle of DTLA? Thus, Oktoberfest DTLA was born, and the 1st Annual event took place in 2016, where we welcomed over 10,000 guests to enjoy great beers, music and food all weekend long.
We admit, this isn’t your traditional Oktoberfest- we like to mix it up with local breweries and California beers, but don’t worry, you can still grab an authentic German Beer from Paulaner, the #1 Oktoberfest beer in the world! Food varies from traditional bratwursts and pretzels to Thai-Mexican fusion, so bring your appetite and get ready for a great time! Music ranges from awesome local bands like The Tom Nolan Band and rockabilly groups to beat boxers, with Hazelnuss closing both nights to get everyone dancing to some awesome Oktoberfest tunes.
General admission is $5, and all ages are welcome. Tasting packages will be available for sale, but you’re free to come and just enjoy the music as well.

Q: Do I have to be over 21 to attend?
A: This event is open to everyone- kids to adults! Of course, you must be over 21 to enjoy and beers, but you are all are welcome to enjoy the food, music, and non-alcoholic offerings.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: While we do love our four-legged friends, because food and drink are being served at this event, we kindly ask that you leave Fido at home.
Q: What time do doors open?
A: The event and doors are open at 2pm – 10pm both days, and the entrance for the event is at the corner of 6th & Hill.
Q: What else happens at this event?
A: We’re glad you asked! This is a fun event for everyone- lots of great beers, food, arts & crafts ( for adults too), and live music, all day, both days!
Q: What items are prohibited?
A: Please respect the event and the other guests of the event by following these guidelines: No tents, no coolers, no outside food or alcohol ( water/ non-alcoholic beverages are welcome).
Q: How can I purchase beer?
A: First thing’s first- make sure you stop by the ID check booth on your way in the main entrance to obtain a wristband for those who are over 21. All of the beer trailers will have 2 lines: cash, credit and tasting tickets- get in the line that corresponds to how you want to purchase! Please note that not all trailers will accept cash and credit.
Q: How do the tasting packages work?
A: We have tasting packages in a few different sizes, depending on how many brews you’d like to try. Each green ticket gets you one 5 ounce sample, and you can trade in 3 green tickets for one 12 ounce pour.
Q: What other beverages will the event have besides beer?
A: We will have wine, soda, water, lemonade and other non alcoholic beverages available for purchase.
Q: Where should I park?
A: If you are driving to the event, we suggest parking underneath Pershing Square, it’s only $7 for all day! We also encourage public transportation and ride sharing services, and of course, everyone please drink responsibly to get home safely.
